Love em for the simple fact that they can inspire people to expand their tastes, their cooking styles, and also their diets. I don't love all the chefs, but that's usually because they annoy me or just aren't my style, and maybe someone else out there loves em! I also think that they help expand some peoples cultural horizons through regional foods and cooking, and for that I think they can be terrific!

Hate them on the whole. Their disregard for basic kitchen hygiene really annoys me - long flicky hair, nail polish and dangly jewellery - and not an apron in sight.
And that's just the men.....
But I guess they're just entertainers who have, for some reason, caught the public's imagination.
The funny thing is, there are more programmes about food and cooking than ever before, and the highest rate of obesity and consumption of ready made foods.

They're so patronising it's not even funny. Come the revolution James Martin will be 1st up against the wall. Possible exception is Reza Mohammed on Delhi Belly, he's a bit of a laugh at times.

I love them. The one I don't like much is Gorden Ramsey. He is the rudest chef I have ever seen. I don't even watch his show.
My faves are Barefoot Contessa, Rachael Ray, Paula Dean and Sandra Lee

mostly don't like at all---so phoney and full of themselves. I get tired of seeing Giada's boobs, and also Sandra Lee's. Paula Deen seems so repetitive, Rachal Ray is a total dork and the two gay guys are total dweebs, I liked it at first, but now I think it is a waste of time. I would rather be in the kitchen. They all seem to try so hard to outdo each other with all the "Hollywood" music, sets, etc. Gag.
