if christians had to ask for forgiviness and repent, then what is the point of Jesus death?
so Jesus died for our sins, then here i am going to do any crime i wish to do? are good people equal to bad people. everyone is responsible of his own deeds, and God has the power of forgiviness no one need to die so God can forgive. God already forgave to those who came before Jesus in the old testimony and is able to forgive for those who will come after. all you have to do is just simply have to raise your hands to God and ask him honestly about forgiviness. Jesus did not die for anyone sins, but the preachers had to find some excueses and explanation from their own to answer the hundred questions related to Jesus torture and death. just like how preachers tried to find an excues to explain why Jesus said "my God! my God! why haven't you forsaken me!". they come up with their own explanation and pretend as it's in christianity and it's not.

It is emotional control. The whole idea of the Jesus resurrection story (one of many resurrection stories that various religions like to tell) is to make the convert feel guilty for being a human. The idea is that each and every way you aren't perfect hurts Jesus. And having the converts apologize frequently for doing so keeps them feeling guilty.

The point u r forgetting is that it wasnt God who said Jesus has died for sins but the hypocrite called Paul. Jesus said keep the commandmants. Paul said nail it 2 the cross . it was he hu in the 1st place said that " if i preach without Christ getting crucified our preaching is in vain & ur deeds are in vain"
question 2 u: when Christ was sent "only 2 the lost sheep of Israel, he instructed his discples to go 2 "lost sheep o Israel" so why did Paul disobey Jesus & spread the message to the gentiles? Also , the should be washed of the jews only since Jesus was sent to Jews & that forgiveness hasnt been gauranteed to rest o humans?

When Adam sinned and was cast out of Eden he was cut off from God and owed a debt he could not repay. There was only one way to be reconciled back to a right relationship with God. Adam would have to reach out to God and ask to be allowed to eat from the Tree of Life. Jesus Christ is our Tree of Life. In order to be reconciled to a right relationship with God we have to believe in Christ. His blood sacrifice was the propitiation (repayment of Adam's debt to God) for all of us who believe. That's why it is impossible to enter heaven for unbelievers. Their sin debt has not been paid.

Someone has to take the punishment for sin; just asking forgiveness is not enough.

Jesus bore the punishment we deserve....so we don't have to.
That is a supreme act of love.

As I understand it, it is because God granted humans the gift of self determination. Since we are all full of original sin, thanks to Eve, if we decide we want salvation then we have to ask for it.
