my neighbor's 3 yr old son has been potty trained for some time now, yet rather than use the toilet he just pees where he stands. it could in the house or in the driveway. On at least one occasion he has pooped on the kitchen floor. More recently, my husband & I were at their house having dinner on the patio & our 5 yr old son was using their bathroom and a couple of minutes later their son came out with no pants on. Her husband came out from the kitchen to tell us that the 3 yr old just peed on the kithchen floor. My neighbor then went on to say that the reason he peed on the floor is because our son was using the bathroom. Basically every time he has an "accident", she has an excuse for him.

those aren't accidents. those are cries for attention. She also needs to put her foot down everytime he does that, he knows that and he will continue to push the envelope because she has set not boundaries. She can give him an incentive to use the toilet. Stickers work and if worse come to worst, have him clean it up everytime he does it. She'll see how quickly he stops that.

Well most guys (especially little boys) like to pee outside even on the driveway, I mean I have peed on the driveway before. Well anyways your friend obviosly dosn't disipline the kid at all, peeing on the kitchen floor isn't right. When I was a kid and I ever did my bussiness in an inipropriate place my mom would yell at me so bad. Your friend shouldn't be making up excuses its just wrong.

Maybe he was not properly potty trained, or if they go on hikes or something and he happens to see daddy duck behind some bushes to do his buisness he thinks its alright to just let it go wherever need be. what ever the reason for this, it really needs to be addressed! They can't go on ignoring it and making up excuses because he will soon be starting school, and it might cause alot of problems if he does this in school (i'm talking social workers and everything, they might think he was neglected or something) Your neighbor should try punnishing him for his behavior, make him sit in the corner or something and rewarding him when he uses the toilet. if the can't do anything about it they should get professional help

She needs to get over making excuses for him and start correcting him before the situation gets out of hand but from the sounds of it it already has. My suggestion to your friend is that thye need to correct him when he does this maybe sit him on the potty and tell him this is where he needs to pee and poop or maybe even atime out...If he is doing this then he is not potty trained all it means is that he doesnt pee and poop in his pants anymore

"Basically every time he has an "accident", she has an excuse for him" that's why he pees where ever he wants. Lack of discipline. Or is the kid really potty trained? Either way I can't imagine the state or the smell of the house. ICk I would not visit.

She has informed me that her panties have been moist, whilst they weren't. hes not potty trained. a potty trained child would have stood by the bathroom door. and waited,. report her to cps she is abusing and neglecting her child. and its disgusting keep your kid away from them. thats lousy parenting at best

first off he is not potty trained if he is not making it all the time, and the reason is she lets him.
sorry nothing you can do but ban him from your home til he is accident free. also if you are good friends with said neighbor you could tell her she is raising the future smelly kid in class.
To many parents are like this very lax its like they think kids can train themselves, they can't they need a parent who works with them. I have potty trained one child and am working on my second and their is nothing easy about it! It takes work lots and lots of work.

He does it because he can get away with it. His mother [and father] are weak, brainless, twits who apparently don't know any better??? How truly sad for this little boy to have two such non-caring, lazy parents to bring him up.

He is using his bowels and bladder as a control with his family. Its classic for a child that has little control of his environment to use the only thing that they can truly control.
