If you could point out to me the word TRINITY, right now i am going to convert to your Religion. Even Jesus himself never teaches TRINITY, can u show me the verse that it really came out from the lips of Jesus saying the word TRINITY?
If you will point out to me The 1st Epistle of John 5:7-8, for your information this verse has been expunged in the RSV & in many other Bibles, they said that this is a fabrication, that it was not in the original manuscript. The Muslims did not do this but it was you Christians. They even changed it but i wonder why many ministers and preachers are not aware of this, or even you. Kindly Read also John 17:21 "That they (disciples) all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they ma also be one in us...." So why not make it 15 3+12=15, so are you telling me now that the 12 disciples are God to. This will only show you that they are one in purpose not in existence.

No, the concept was finalized at Nicea.

It takes some creative interpretation to dig up anything resembling the trinity in the Bible, and was only invented when canon was being created.

The word "Trinity" does not appear in scripture; but the concept of the Holy Trinity appears several times throughout scripture.

Also, if you read the scriptures you will see that there were MANY more than 12 disciples; but there were 12 APOSTLES chosen by Christ. All of His followers were known as "little Christs" (i.e. Christians).

John 1:1-5, John 14:7-9 Jesus & God are the same.
Matthew 12:18 God & the Holy Spirit are the same
Matthew 28:19 The trinity is named (without using the word "trinity")

I don't understand why this topic has to be an issue. You're right the word "Trinity" is not found in the Bible. However when you put several texts together, Jesus many times refered to Himself, His Father, and the Holy Spirit as one.
As far as I understand the trinity concept there is God the Father, God the Son (Jesus), and God the Holy Spirit. God the Father is the one who watches over us. God the Son is the one who saved us from sin and is the medator for our prayers to God, and the Holy Spirit helps guide us in the right direction. In spirit they all three different entities. But they are one in mind. Beyond this the Bible does not give us much detail about this concept. If God wanted us to know more about it He would have put it in there. As far as I see it we can only take what we understand from the Bible and any more than that we need to wait until we meet them someday and they will fully explain it to us. If it is not fully explained in the Bible then there should be no need for us to try to make more of it than what it is.

Wow! After answering this question I have read some of your other answerers. Dad &son has a great explanation. It's a little lengthy but worth reading all the way through. I think this is your best answer and one I agree with. Whatever church he belongs to maybe you should check it out.

Ok...yah i am a witness and yes i am going to defend this argument. It can't be found because it was a man made idea introduced in the 4th century. Of John 1:1 Many translations read: “And the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” Others read: “And the Word (the Logos) was divine.” Another: “And the Word was god.” Others: “And the Word was a god.” Since we have examined so much of what John wrote about Jesus who was the Word made flesh, we are now in position to determine which of those several translations is correct. It means our salvation. Take first that popular rendering by the Authorized Version or Douay Version: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God.” Here a few lines deserve to be quoted from the book The Four Gospels Harmonized and Translated, by Count Leo Tolstoy, as follows: If it says that in the beginning was the comprehension, or word, and that the word was to God, or with God, or for God, it is impossible to go on and say that it was God. If it was God, it could stand in no relation to God. Certainly the apostle John was not so unreasonable as to say that someone (“the Word”) was with some other individual (“God”) and at the same time was that other individual (“God”). John proves that the Word who was with God “was made flesh” and became Jesus Christ and that Jesus Christ was “the Son of God.” So it would be proper to say that the Word was the Son of God. For anyone to say that the Word was God, “the only true God,” would be contrary to what the apostle John proves by the rest of his writings. In the last book of the Bible, namely, in Revelation 19:13, John calls him “The Word of God,” saying: “And his name is called The Word of God.” (AV; Dy) Note that his name is not called “God the Word,” but is called “The Word of God,” or God’s Word. Hence John 1:1 must mean, at most, that the Word was of God. Now this is good...The Patristic Gospels—An English Version of the holy Gospels as they existed in the Second Century,” by Roslyn D’Onston. The title page tells how this version was put together. In John 1:1 this version reads: “and the Word was God.” But it has this footnote: “The true reading here is, probably, of God. Nuff said?

1 John 5:7

For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

Jesus talked about him and the father being one.

John 17:11

And He talked about the spirit of his father. But since The Father and The Son are 1, and the Spirit of his father is one with the father which would also make the Son and the Spirit 1 right? Then if all three are 1, then it becomes a trinity. Another place where the trinity is discribed is when Mary Conceived Jesus in Luke

And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.

Trinity is the word used to describe God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit-
It is not in the Bible, but the Bible is clear on them being 3 in one persons- which therefore gives us the Trinity.

Well, this is true. Trinity is not in the bible. Christians made the trinity part of the worship of God the Father, Jesus the Son and the Holy Spirit as the three in one. All three are holy and considered a part of one so that's how we worship them. This is very confusing to some people. I can see how it is.

It is used to explain the inconsistencies in the Bible. The concept of the trinity was decided upon at Nicea. They created a logical impossibility as an explanation for another logical impossibility.

Jesus sometimes refers to himself as the Son of God, or God, and at other times he says he didn't do something (such as a healing), but God did it. There are other concepts commonly accepted as a basis for the Christian faith which are also not in the Bible.

Don't try to think about, it will just give you a headache.

I love how the scriptures that people give to support the trinity are pretty much the same ones we use to support that they are all 3 Jesus. they just haven't gotten the revelation of who Jesus really is. pray for them.

The trinity doctrine is man-made and is certainly not a Bible teaching. It brings dishonor to the one true God and forces people to give worship to the Son instead of the one whom the Son also calls his God.
Another question to ask is this: If the holy spirit is also God, then why are no prayers directed to it ? How are people "filled with holy spirit" ? Are they filled with God?
Jesus and God have personal names, yet the holy spirit does not.
The Babylonians and Egyptians had their triad of gods and Christendom has its triad of gods which was given the name " trinity."
