Because they do not have a full understanding of their bible and many people use the term Christian loosely.

First of all, you make a generalized statement by implying all Christians. You need to say "some Christians" or "some of those who claim to Christian" or something like that.
I have been around the and in the church for over 30 years now and have just about seen it all. Here is what I have discovered. While there are a great majority of good Christian people whose lives have truly been turned around and transformed there are others who have not let the power of God truly transform their entire lives, including not letting past hurts be healed or past traumas be healed, etc. They keep a certain amount of anger and hurt deep down inside of them and it just keeps seeping out at the worst times and in the worst settings, the church. It causes so many others to get a bad taste in their mouth about church and God and it really does a lot of damage. I have seen whole churches run by such people and things don't change until they actually die off, thank goodness.
Then there are those folks who claim to be Christian who never really are. They just want the label for selfish reasons or self gain some how and unfortunately for them their true colors will always show through. Kind of like wolves in sheep's clothing.

Wow! I wish I could answer this correctly or I wish I had the right anwser. I am A Christian and i don't hate alot of other people. My family own the Church and work there. But it is really sad to see christians fighting. Well he also died for ours sins and fighting is a big sin. And alot of times people believe in Jesus Christ and What he did but the don't believe that strongly in the bible or always think that they will be ok because they will be forgiven. Sorry that probably isn't the best answer but related tot he pastor of my church that is how I feel. You can email me at benmckenzielover@yahoo.com if you have any other questions. Thanks! (=

There's a difference between love and acceptance. There's a difference between judging and standing up for Truth. There is a wide span of philosophies floating around and you want to put the label CHRISTIAN on the whole?? Wrong. If there is any " hate " as you proclaim there to be, it is not from the true Christians. You unfortunately haven't deciphered the difference and that will truly cost you in the end because you are gambling with your soul, a precious piece!

It is truly sad the way so many Christians bash other denominations. We forget that we are the Body of Christ. I am sure that Jesus weeps when He hears the kind of hatred that is far too common. We should be able to disagree about the fine points of theology while holding each other in Christian love.

Do you love all Christians? "Anyone who claims to be in the light but hates his
brother is still in the darkness. Whoever loves his brother lives in the light, and there is
nothing in him to make him stumble. But whoever hates his brother is in the darkness and
walks around in the darkness; he does not know where he is going, because the darkness
has blinded him." (1 John 2:9-11) When this passage says brother, it is speaking of your
brothers in Christ, your fellow Christians. You are supposed to love other believers. If you
do not love but hate, you do not know God. You should only hate sin.

Which Christians hate each other?
But yes, I've also seen hatred and fighting among Christians. It's very disappointing when that happens, but Christians are human and make stupid mistakes.
You are right, we should love one another as God loves us. Jesus said that Christians will be known by their love, and many are.

I would answer this by asking, who is it that causes divisions and thereby profits by them?
The church has held off many various divisions by satan in the past 2,000yrs and he finally suceeded through Luther and Calvin etc, think about it.

Please provide an example of Christians hating each other. I have not dealt with that personally. I am a Christian and have many other Christian friends and aquaintances and hate or dislike is something that we have never dealt with.
P.S. and a lot of my friends are different denominations from me.
