If ur doctor says all clear and u still feel the pain then I'd say u maybe suffering from cold, sinus. Since our ear , nose and throat are interconnected and depend on each other it's a great possibility that u maybe sufferring from cold, or sinus or else even teeth if ur having wisdom tooth coming up even that can cause the problem. I'd suggest u go to a ENT specialist (ear, nose, throat) and just incase before going to a specialist try taking steam if u feel relieved taking steam then I am sure u'd get healed soon but u have to take steam for some 5-8 days continously even a few more days if u can manage.
If taking steam isn't possible then try keeping a hot water bag over ur ear this shud work too while doing so u can also place it on ur eyebrows and nose bridge if u have sinus issues this will remedy it to a very large extent.
Have done it myself infact I've tried an ancient remedy but i do not know if u'd be ready to do so...I'd tell u but strictly do only if u r comfy. In a table spoon take some olive oil/coconut oil smash in a garlic clove with it's skin intact smash it up out it in the tablespoon of oil so that garlic juice mixes with the oil. Heat this tablespoon on a simmering flame till the garlic changes it's colour to pinkish brown. remove from flame and cool the oil completely or keep it luke warm. After this is done ask somebody to pour this oil in ur affected ear and lie down such that the oil doesn't come off ur ear. fill ur ear till the hole depth. Sleep with a handkerchief if u want. Keep this oil in ur ear overnite for better results else for 10 mins and do this approx. 3 times in a day the results are instant in just a day or even in a single use u wud surely feel relieved off the pain. I vote for it rather then going thru all the heatings and beating and anitbiotics etc.......
Reason is Garlic has tremendous healing powers and the sulphur content in garlic heals many diseases. sinus, cold or stuffy nose apply the same oil on ur eyebrows and nose bride it woks like a wonder.
Hope this helps has certainly helped me when i'd been a kid was a victim of terrible ear pain coz of cold. But fortunately my mom knew of this remedy and she helped me recover in a giffy.

I would have the doctor refer you to a specialist.. there has to be a reason. Could be wax buildup, swimmers ear.. etc.. Definately get a second opinion.

Your ears, nose, and throat are closely related. So there could be something effecting your nose, throat, or sinuses, and you feel it in your ear. Could be allergies. You could try going to an ENT (ear, nose, throat) doctor and see what he thinks.
