ever since i was a little kid, i've been really bad with allergies around this time of the year, pollen, grass, the trees, etc. etc. but this year they are the worst. i have been suffering about 2 weeks now with allergies, in my house, with the AC on. i have been taking allergra, but it doesn't seem to be working, and they are the worst when i first wake up in the morning, laying in bed. i wash/change my bed sheets about every week & have been trying to keep the dog out of the bed, but she still sneaks in there sometimes, i've never been allergic to her before, i just had a baby two months ago. could my pregnancy have changed what i'm allergic to? i am suffering. what are some GREAT medications for itchy eyes, itchy throat, stuffed nose, runny nose? i can't take this any longer!

I can tell you without hesistation that you aren't alone on this one by any means. You may be a number of things going on here. Your being in the house with the AC is recirculating all of the allergens in your home for starters. You've also just given birth and your body is recovering from the changes that took place during pregnancy, and that CAN be a contributing factor. (I doubt that your dog is the problem here)
I am not a big advocate of running to the medicine cabinet for a pill or potion to stop an existing problem, I look at the cause and getting that under control is the way to PREVENT another bout of this again.
It could be that you are sensitive to the chemicals used in your home and personal care products. (Laundry detergent, shampoo's, baby washes, bleach, ammonia all can be very dangerous to your health).

I was made aware of this a few years ago after long suffering from a number of problems including the symptoms you describe above and some other things that didn't seem related, like migraines, memory loss, chronic fatigue, weight loss.

First things first, turn off the AC or at least change the filters.

As a VERY temporary fix, if you are not nursing, I would speak to your primary care giver about some meds, but over the long run, you and your baby will benefit from removing the toxins from your environment.

Feel free to e-mail me and let me know how you are doing.

Good Luck and Be Well~

She has sarcoptic mange. it is a parasite it is very contagious and could be certainly dealt with with 2-4 pictures of ivermectin out of your Vet. i can't say this strongly adequate - do no longer hardship WITH A skin SCRAPING! Sarcoptic mites are very very nearly by no ability got here upon on a skin scraping through fact they burrow into the floor and stay there extremely some the time. human beings can seize the mites in the event that they are in touch with the dogs commonly. it is handed to different animals and that they might stay for a mutually as on surfaces besides. PLEASE! examine and print the object decrease than to take on your Vet. Many Vets are ignorant approximately Sarcoptic mange! in case you do no longer insist they handle with out diagnosis, your destructive dogs won't get extra proper.

My allergist told me that this year is one of the worst for allergies. He told me to double my meds taking one dose in the morning and one at night. Try taking Allegra D; it is the only one strong enough for me. Also, consider getting another allergy test. Your triggers may have changed since the baby or the weather.

If you have good insurance, I would suggest going to an allergist and getting desensitation shots. They help tremendously, but they take a while to start working. Also you can go to the doctor and get a steroidal nasal spray, like Beconase AQ or Nasonex. They really work and you can take them when you are nursing.
