I said 'like killing atheists brings 7 years bad luck?'
Now he's ticked at me. Was I wrong?

It's breaking a mirror that superstition brings 7 yrs. bad luck.
Both Christians and atheists and others have died in wars
fighting for the freedoms for which you take for granted such
as seeking counciling for your troubled mind.

It is factual that this number provokes an uneasy feeling in a lot of people but in the context of everyday working it has no significance other than another number, it really only matters were the antichrist is concerned as it refers to his name, and we should not worry about it cropping up at times, we can go over the top with this number and we need to realize that like the number 13 it has no power of itself.

I would say you were certainly insensitive, but it's nothing unforgivable. On the other hand, him telling you that you "need to quit reacting to superstitions" was a bit insensitive too, don't you think? There's really nothing benign about the number 666, it's just an old superstition that we've been conditioned to fear for some reason. But plenty of people still believe in it's evil powers, so he was out of line to get on your case for it.

Six hundred and sixty six is nothing more than a number, thirteen is nothing more than a number. It is amazing how much power people will give objects over them.
For a workplace, I'd say your last statement was out of line given how many people these days have gone into workplaces with guns and killed their co-workers.

Friend Don't worry about the number 666, I am not aware what Country you are from, But that mark of the beast is for the middle east only, It is the mark of the anti-christ, & where will the anti-christ be at, In the great tribulation he will be seated in the temple in Jerusalem That is why The woman(Israel) fled into the wilderness, so that the Beast or anti-christ or even the mark of the beast can not reach them.
