Honestly many people with disagree with me but i think it belives on the persons maturaty and situation with some people who wait untill marraige thats great!
some wait untill 18 or 21 and thats fine too
many kids are loosing there virginity at VERY young ages and for many, this is a mistake
but i for example who wanted to loose my virginity at 16 lost it unwillingly at 12 and had sex on my willingly at 13 but i had also been with my boyfriend for 3 years at that time.
Currently i am 16 and still with this guy...i am 8 almost 9 months pregnant and couldnt be happier!
So like i said it all depends on the individuales and there maturatiy and situation!
also i was already doing homeschool this year before i got pregnant so that great because i can stay in school!
<3Livie
After reading some of the answers above i have to add that i am not poorley educated i know just about everything there is to know about sex...i dont belive being poorley educated has a factor in when poeple decide to loose there virginity i myself am in all gifted classes...but i still had early sex because for me it was right...

I wouldn't think there's a perfect age, and I also believe most people wouldn't know whether it was perfect timing or not until they can look back and understand WHY it was good or bad or whatever.
I do think it's best to wait until you're out of highschool before having sex though. I had sex for the first time when I was nearly 17... but I was an idiot.
I think it's better to wait until after high school so that if anything DOES happen as a result, you'll at least have high school complete and out of the way. That would also mean you'd never fret about pregnancy during your school years, and you'll likely have some sort of training/work experience under your belt by the time you do fall pregnant.
I also believe that after high school, life is so much different. Your friends change, your life changes, everything is just different. You may be able to see a different side to sex after going through that change...

There is no suitable age to loose your virginity. Although, more and more young people are loosing their virginity in their early teen years. That is thanks to poor education about sex. The more you know the better off you are. I will say this, if you are having to ask this question you are not ready to have sex. I believe in being married before even considering sex. But we got to keep it real, this is 2007! Sex has become a part of our society as a whole. Once you loose your virginity you will NEVER get it back. If you are being pressured into thinking about it, your not ready either. Never do anything because someone else has or wants you to!! If that person loves you, truly loves you, they will wait for you to be ready. And love as a teenager or young adult is completely different than love as a mature responsible adult. Emotions will get you caught up in the moments in life that are never fair to anyone, but being a strong person and standing for something will make you even stronger. It's worth the wait and it's worth sharing yourself with someone your love when you and your body is 100% ready.

Dear sweet gal,
You are worried about loosing your virginity? That's the wrong question to ask. Ask at what age it is suitable to marry, then the question of your virginity will solve its own problem, I can promise. Loosing one's virginity should not be a goal in itself. That's the wrong perspective. You should be looking forward at having a nice family and children to raise, not at loosing your virginity.

There is no ideal age as to when you loose your viginity or not. It all depends on what feels best for you and you only. Everybodys circumstances are different. You should only do it when the timing is right for you and when you have met the right person and are feeling comfortable. You shouldn't pressureised into doing it by anyone as you will only regrett it.Remember the law states you should be 16 or over.

It really depends upon the person and the situation, but I truly believe that nobody should lose their virginity before the age of 18.

You're probably going to get the same answer from most people: There is no perfect age.
I think people are having sex for the first time before they're really ready. I have a friend who lost hers at sixteen, and she wasn't prepared for it. Her boyfriend pressured her into it.
I think a person is ready when they can look at themselves and know, really know, that the decision is all theirs. The decision shouldn't be because you want to fit in, because your boyfriend/girlfriend wants it, etc. It should be because YOU want it, and purely because you want it.

there is no right age, it varies person to person. however, it should not happen before you are ready to take on the responsibilities of being a parent, including paying for medical food clothes, housing, furniture, all those and more, and NOT depending on welfare.
if you can't do those and meet a childs basic needs you shouldn't risk bringing one into the relationship. birth control is not 100% effective

When you can make an unpressured choice that having sexual intercourse is something you want to do, are ready to do and are capable of living with the consequences.
I have never understood why it's referred to as "loosing" your virginity; as if virginity is some precious thing to hang on to and then lament when it's lost. Why isn't it referred to as "getting rid" of your virginity. :-)
