I work for Time Warner, and you will be fired for doing illegal, inappropiate, or unassigned installs. You are only supposed to do the work assigned, and if you have a take-home vehicle priviledge, it's only supposed to stay at home. Yes, I think they should be fired because it's unethical. People should do the RIGHT thing. Be honest. I would rather have a job, then no job for doing something stupid like that. Our cheapest cable package is 30 bucks a month. Come on! Thanks. *smiles* If you don't like the prices, I would shop around for another cable provider. There are more than 50 major ones in the nation, and they all take you to the same BET, VH1, and SHO. Just friendly advice. Hope that helped!

> Free cable . . . . not a great idea
> Using company equipment to do any job outside of what you are allowed to do . . . bad one, too
> Helping your friends out with setting something up on your own time . . . . not a problem

Just running the cable on their own time with wire not supplied by the company, no. Getting them free service yes. That is stealing the service, the only product the cable company sells. Just raises the price to the rest of us.

If the installer is doing this without the cable companies consent, it would be theft of service. Let the cable company know, even anonymously, but give them enough details so they know there is some merit to the accusation and it's not just sour grapes. This is a loss of income to them and they should be interested.

I'm sure cable companies do what they can to find these bad seeds and fire them.
