Would you drink expired milk?

Co-amoxiclav is an antibiotic and you should definitely not take this after its expiry date. Taking any medicine after the expiry date renders it ineffective. The ingredients contained within the product will lose their effect and the preservatives will wear off, so taking the medicine will be of no benefit and may even cause harm. Antibiotics especially will lose their function and consuming expired ones may even cause resistance.

Yes, I normally take medications for 3 months after the expiration. Most RX's, whether over the counter or prescribed, are just fine. If you have ANY concerns, I would be sure to contact your pharmacist. He/She will know best. Each Medication is different. As a sidenote, if there is no DAY listed (ie. June 15, 2007) the medication is actually good until the END of June. Make sense?

yes; this is actually good until the last day of jun, 2007; in most cases, I would say you can take it up to a year after expiration. Not that the medicine actually starts breaking down, but more because the FDA requires them to put an expiration date on the bottle.

The potency of any drug does not nosedive on the expiration date, but it does gradually tapers off. I would suggest going on the companies website and seeing if there is any information on how long the drug is still good. I do know that vitamins are good for two years after the date, as I was told by someone who works for the company that makes them.

I am no physician but I on many occasions have taken meds that have expired. I think alot of those dates are kinda like soda bottles. Ex: sell by date. There are many over the counter meds that I think is almost impossible to have used it all by the expiration date. But your exp. date is very recent so I'd definately use it! But I hope you feel better, I know I hate feeling yukky!

Probably about another month or so. Expiration date on medicine are different than those on food products, and should be adhered to closely. They lose their potency and may even become dangerous to consume.

You can take it through this month but starting next month (and possibly by now) it starts to lose it's potency and be less effective.
