I have really bad dandruff, ive posted these sort of questions before and i was about to go and organise an oppointment at the doctors and my mom said they would laugh at me.
She knows now that ive had it for over 3 months and nothing is budging it, no home remedys or anything, its that bad that when i move my head slightly to the side i end up with white flakes all over my shoulders. While im typing this my scalp is really irritating, its itchy and sore. Should i go to the doctors since nothings worked and its getting worse?
My mom seems to think the doctors will laugh at me, when it could be a skin condition.

OMG most certainly would they NOT laugh at you. You need a medicated dandruff shampoo other than what you can get over the counter. No doctor judges you and for your mom to say that is shameful. Please do go see the doctor.

Please go ahead and visit the doctor. I assure you wont be laughed at. You may try rubbing a paste of curd mixed with methi seed (fenugreek)powder on the scalp before washing the hair.Regular use may help your condition. Dont forget to visit the doctor. All the best and chin up!

Dermatologists (skin doctors) treat your type of problem everyday. The doctor will not laugh at you.

Yes! You should go....hopefully you have insurance...sounds like your Mom is trying to save a little cash at your expense. Be persistant about going....there's no reason to continue living like this....give yourself a day or 2 maybe?

Shake your head over your mom's best dinner service. That should make her change her tune and give you encouragement to seek medical advice
