The Benefit is that You end up saving lot of space on ur hard disk.

But the Loss is If u turn off System Restore, You would not be able to restore your system to good seetings if somethings goes bad.

Advise you not to turn off system restore for some hard disk space though you could try to reduce the size of file storage of system restore to 10-12%.

If you r not sure how to do that, leave dat as it is
