You really need some volumizer. Plus you probably need to add a drop of anti-frizz when you blow dry. Redken makes a really good shampoo for volumizing curls also. I pull my hair in a ponytail for awhile to give it volume. But most of the time it is all about the products you use, that is why Shakira's hair loks like that...lol. Ask a hairstylists also what products she would suggest.

I have got some tip for you,
Wash your hair with warm water and dry it using a towel
Immediately apply small amount of hair conditioner and late it dry by it Self.
Note; the hair conditioner type you should use ..
If you have soft and flat hair use conditioner for colored and permed hair,
If your hair is naturally curly I don’t think you should have that problem but keep
changing hair conditioners until you find the one which gives you the result you
need, good luck.

Scrunch it with spray, or gel, or mousse. You may have to try a couple different things before you find what is right for your hair. If you don't want to do the trial and error, go to the salon, and get your hair styled, then just mimic what they did to get the desired look.

use a good shampoo and conditioner for curly hair. Aveda makes a gel for curly hair, I forget the name but it comes in a dark blue glass jar...works great! Then use a diffuser with your blow dryer all the time! should work...good luck
