My ex used to kiss my on my forehead before we got together. He told me he kissed me on the forehead because he didn't know if he could kiss me anywhere else. I think it can mean a variety of different things, but this was my favorite answer when I asked him.

Why don't people give more information when asking questions like this?
This is so vague. It's impossible to answer without having more information - ie relationship dynamic. How close are you as friends, how long have you been friends, is he touchy feely in general, or was it out of the blue, how long have you known each other. I need something to work with here. !!! :p
Edit: See that's why you are getting these wide range of answers from your breath stink, to he's gay, to he thinks of you as a brother or sister, so on and so forth. More info is needed...

I love that! To me it means I'm showing you affection, without pushing for a passionate embrace. It is the kind of gentle kiss, that isn't overwhelming, but does show a real desire to be with you. It indicates a gentleness, fondness, and consideration.
Yes, it is used by parents towards children, but that doesn't make it less real.
And later on things might get stronger, different, maybe, but this is a nice way to start.

if u are going out, the I think it means, that he really likes you and will kiss you on the head, and doesnot just like you for kissing and other things, I think the act is soooo sweet, maybe that's just me , but I find the action soooo cute, but sometimes it can be over used...

It means he knows there is more to your body that your mouth! The entire body is there to be touched, kissed, carressed, massaged. I always feel like he's being the "protector". Try kissing him other places & guarantee you he will not be asking that question !! KIss him on the nape of his neck, behind or on his ear...................and see what his reaction is.

Could mean a lot of things.
1) He could be a wuss...
2) It means he aint gettin any...
3) He's respectfull and won't advance out of respect. (see #1)
4) He thinks he's your brother or something.
