for occasional sleeplessness i like tylenol pm. one dose (at least how i get it) is 2 little pills. i can usually get to sleep on one, or a half dose, but 2 does work better. i also like that it doesnt make me too groggy in the morning, but u do have to still get at least 5 or 6 hours of sleep after taking them, or better yet a full night's sleep.

According to me one should never take sleep medication untill and unless it becomes serious. If u dont get sleep in night then stay awake throught out the night dont try to sleep even and avoid yours sleep throught the day, by this u will be awake till 18-24 hours and then finally u will get some sleep.
Second thing eat some rice in the night. Third thing Do some excersize on the bed only, try to make your own excersize which can make u tired completely.
Try these. Hope they work on u.
Best Of Luck!!

Something that always makes me very very sleepy is antihistamine or hayfever tablets. If you look for the non non-drowsy (Not the ones that say non-drowsy) they will be sure to knock you out till morning. You only need one, warn everyone that if you need to be waken during the night they might have a few problems..... I used to tell my family that unless the house is on fire let me sleep, before taking them. Lol Good luck and I hope it works for you, its a cheap alternative to a lot of other nasty drugs and worth a try......

Actually, the best herb to help with deep relaxation and sleep is valerian extract, or valerian root. You can pick up bottles of it (available in capsule form, and sometimes in teas) at your local supermarket and herb section. Valerian extract/root is completely harmless, 100% natural, and actually works better than most all over the counter sleeping pills
