these aren't cool drinks anymore are they? but they were at one time? Singapore slings, wiskey sours, alabama slammers are not the most in demand and cool people drinks correct? are these like 1990s style?

During prohibition the alcohol that illegally produced was of a low quality and difficult to drink. In order to make the alcohol taste better it was mixed with juices and/or other sweet beverages. A "sour" type drink is one of those drinks that has stuck with us since the end of prohibitions.

Most of the names for drinks, and there mixes comes from the Prohibition era. Bartenders had to come up with flavors to hide the horrible taste of bootleg alcohol, and had to come up with clever names to hide what it really was.

All of these drink's pretty much started in the 40's, and have been around a long time now.
