The semester is going to end in about two weeks, i've had a crush on this guy for 3 years and i was thinking of sending him a like-letter. I am to shy to talk to him, but i'm gonna give the note to him myself. What do you think of this? do you think i should go for it? if not then what should i do?

It's well that you're beginning to take the initiative on this issue. I'd recommend doing away with the letter, and just overcoming your fears to speak with this guy face-to-face. Your shyness will indeed make this difficult, but in doing it you will be taking a great step toward overcoming that shyness. Also, it'll be the most effective way to get your feelings out to this guy.
Good luck--be strong, and just go and do it! Don't think about it too much.

As a person who has sent several, they don't work. The best non personal way to do it would be either IM or phone.
