And which one would you replace it with?

Me, I would like to see Cali go. I think the racing stinks there. I would give 1 date back to the Rock (I wonder which date that would be?) and I would build North Wilksboro back up and give them the other date.

As a 2nd choice, I would like to see Kansas go, I would replace Kansas with either KY or Nasville speedway.

What's y'alls thoughts?

Kathyrn, I'm sorry, I'm a little bitter toward Cali because of that track taking away a long time tradition of the Southern 500. I'm also bitter toward "cookie cutter" tracks, if it makes you feel any better (which I know it wont), my homestate is IL and I dont like the races in Chicago either, but I think with a little time it may get better and the seats seam to be a little fuller there than Cali.

The spring race in Fontana should go. I hate to say it since I live in LA, and love going to the race, but to see noticeable empty seats is not good for the sport, and little local interest is even worse. Besides I still have the oppurtunity to go to Vegas or Phoenix pretty easily. They also hold the race at least this year on the same day of the Oscars, so they lose all of the media attention, and celebrity appearances Nascar would hope for for racing in SoCal. I dont think it will go, just becuase the area is the 2nd largest media market, but it should. I am not sure where they should replace the race at, but it would probably have to be in a Warmer climate, when the race is held, its usually winter in most areas.

Texas, California, Chicago, Kansas, Las Vegas, Dover, New Hampshire all need to go. These are the most boring races on the schedule. Race Tracks that need to comeback 2 dates at Darlington with Labor day weekend hosting the Southern 500 again, 2 Rockingham dates, North Wilkesboro needs to have both its dates back on the schedule Nashville needs both of its dates back, and i would give Kentucky speedway 1 race to see how it did.

I would have to agree with you on California. I would also get rid of a Texas race because the track is the exact same as Charlotte and that's too much of the same to me. I would probably add a nashville race in it's place. Like California, Michigan is a long track that leads to pretty boring racing due to everyone spreading out so I'd get rid of a Michigan race and another Homestead race.

California does not deserve two dates. One is fine. Yes, the race is usually pretty boring. I would move Darlington's race back to the Labor Day weekend, give a date back to the Rock sometime in April/May and take one race from Texas or New Hampshire and send it to Kentucky. I have nothing against New Hampshire, but two dates is too much unless they decide to put up lights and race one event at night. Sorry, but I will agree that N. Wilkesboro is never coming back to the Cup series, but a truck race there would be great. A night race at the rock would be fantastic.

Srjrfan, My opinion, rather than seeing a track deleted, There should be more tracks raced once per season and new tracks added. If NASCAR wants to broaden thier fan base, good move is to race in all states with huge populations. Of course tracks like Daytona, Talladega, and Bristol should run twice to keep its popularity as "The Track".

First off call in an air strike and remove California.
If that does not work Go after all these dayyam "COOKIE CUTTER" tracks.
And yes put NASHVILLE on with a race.

I would say Pocono and Michigan should lose a date. Pocono has to be the most boring track to watch a race at. Rockingham should get one and bring back North Wilkesboro too.

Dover! I have nothing against Delaware, but did u see how many cautions came out for the Busch Seres today? I can only imagine what'll be like when they run the COT race tomorrow! The Busch cars barely left any passing room... the COT's will take up more space, what with the bumpers, and spoilers and skirts!

i believe one of the two texas races should be replaced.there are so many tracks out there that could use a date for example look at kentucky speedway. busch series puts on a show there that rivals almost any other busch race out there.
