Maybe hindsight is 20-20?

We had no good reason to go into Iraq. If we were interested in punishing someone for 9/11 Saudi Arabia would have been a good choice.
The problem is not that we ARE in Iraq is how do we get out, will all of our stuff and without leaving thousands of Iraqis who helped us to twist in the wind.

Hindsight nothing.
I was one of the hundreds of thousands on the streets against it in UK before it happened.

The police at the time said "it was the UK's biggest ever demonstration with at least 750,000 taking part"

I haven't seen any reason to change my mind.

(edit: Slayer, a case on 9/11 for Afghanistan, yes, but you have none for Iraq. One of the criticisms of the Iraq invasion is that it diverted vital attention and resources from Afghanistan.)

I would rather live in a world where we are worrying about the incredible incompetence of Maliki (sp) and Bush's possibly inept strategies than a world where Saddam and his completely vile if not evil sons will rule such a powerful nation for another 50 years.

This question has what value exactly? No, we should not have gone. We went on a false pretense. But false pretense or not we have to stay and try to set up some sort of working government.

Nope. I feel like nothing is being accomplished in Iraq. We should not have gone over there...it's not working!

Well, we managed to kill a lot Iraqis and get a whole lot combat experience for our future leaders... at least thats one benefit. But I think actually managed to create more terrorists and unstability in the middle east

So, basically what you're saying is, we should of just let the terrorist kill 3 thousand people and get away with it?
That makes sense, I see your logic now
