I know MANY, MANY asians (I'm from SF) and none of them are lactose intolerant. That's a really high percentage, but every Asian I know eats dairy products.

No, most Asians are not lactose intolerant. The percentages would only be a whisker above that of European and Africans. Most Asians do not eat dairy products in their own cultures/countries because of a lack of space for cows and goats etc.

Actually, most of the world is lactose intolerant. in studies, the USA seems to be the exception. not sure why that would be, and that information is from a college class 20 years ago. With all the changes in America since then, the numbers might have gone up.

Well yes its possible some Asians are lactose intolerant.
Ihave noticed it comes on in later life (as one ages)
Indians generally should ideally be less prone to this ,we would hope for reasons of centuries of milk and dairy product usage..Hope fully we can be more-enlightened (thru this medium) if an Indian or sub continent specialist dietetician or doctor happens to read this and can provide us with-a- more knowledgable. view.(Its hard to comment about people from the far east though , please excuse as we have lesser knowledge of them) Lactose intolerance (or "cow milk allergy " comes & goes in some youngsters.)
