I'm thinking of buying an HP laptop, which comes with a TV tuner card. I hear that you can watch cable TV on your PC using the tuner card. My question: Using this card, if I am in the US, can I watch Indian Cable TV? Is there any possible way to do this?

All the TV tuner card does is to decode the signal that's coming into it (e.g. antenna, cable, satellite). If you don't have access to certain programming (Indian cable TV), then the card isn't going to provide it for you. However, if you end up traveling to India, you should be able to use it there (assuming that the signal is transferred across a standard medium) to watch TV on your laptop.

You have to check the specs of the TV tuner card.
NTSC? PAL? Digital? Cable?
The TV tuner can only decode channels you already have.
