Not eating late or before bedtime as a means of weight loss is somewhat of a myth that has no real scientific basis. As long as you're within your daily caloric intake, it's fine to eat before bedtime. One thing to consider is that when we go to sleep, our metabolic state enters SMR, or sleeping metabolic rate, which is actually higher for several hours than the RMR, or resting metabolic rate.
You should, however, keep carbs down to a minimum and have mostly low BV proteins and good fats late at night. This is because carbs can cause an insulin spike, and the low BV protein combined with good fats will slow the uptake of nutrients.
Another thing to consider - if you go too long between eating meals, your body will enter a catabolic state, and in essence starvation mode, where it retains bodyfat but will utilize glycogen stores, then muscle for energy. This is why it's preferable to have more smaller portioned meals throughout the day, and breakfast really being the most important meal.

Most people who fast do not do so to lose weight. Often time it is done to purge the body of impurities. Some people say that it can be beneficial. However, even people who fast often drink juices and take vitamins. So if you are thinking of fasting find out specifics on how to do it in a healthy manner. Because not eating is not good for you (if it was healthy, there would be little threat in someone having a hunger strike). Food is where your body gets energy from, so if you stop eating or eat way too little, your body will go into "emergency mode" and start storing anything you eat as fat. Your body will also start to get energy by burning the muscle is your body, not just the fat. As you can see it can go quickly down hill from there.

Not sure if i I understand your question, but, I would say don't eat a few hours before you go to bed, because your not losing as many calories, obviously, because your not moving. And another good thing to do is eat your meals in small portions. For instance, eat 5 small meals every 2 hours.

No, that is a lie. Actally, it can make you gain weight if you don't eat at a certain time. If you eat small portions around the clock, your body's metabolism will increase and burn fat. If you don't eat at night (a common myth) then your metabolism will slow and you will gain weight.
Bottom line, eat a lot of small meals around the clock.

its actually bad for you - if you are hungry you have to eat.
it doesnt matter what time of the day you eat as long as you dont consume more calories than you spend during the day you are not gona gain weight.
hunger is a language your body uses to tell you it needs more energy.
i eat at 2am - my snack before bed because i fall asleep only at about 4am.

Just avoid carbohydrates before bed. Carbs are your 1st source of energy, and with them taken in without use, you store them over night...not a good choice. I suggest proteins before bed, because you will be in the rebuilding phase when sleeping.
