some insects and bugs get attracted towards light so much that in order to get close to it, they burn themselves up or get suffocated inside the source.
Are we like them who get attracted towards the "Light" and will someday get succumbed to it?
is it the fate of all "God-seekers" and "truth-seekers" and "happiness-seekers?"
who see a beautiful shiny light, unaware of the consequences?
OR
do only few people succumb to that "light", if yes then who are they?

Both of your questions are correct. One paid the price for all = Jesus who died for our sins. The 12 that Jesus chose died as He said they would, and now the world is different only because the 12 completed their task and glorified the Lord and we reap the benefits and yet we still do not believe! People are afraid of the Light only because the Light exposes all, are you afraid? Do you have something to hide? If not then why not follow the Light? Fear is what is keeping us from our true path which is to follow the Light.

All people of faith, no matter what faith, are attracted to "the light". Defining what that light is, and what happens to us when we get there, is what differentiates the various religions.
Some believe there is a hierarchy, where only the people who have progressed the farthest can obtain "the light". Others think all you have to do is repeat a specific phrase and the light is your promised reward.
Is it an instinct? Some scientists claim that the capacity for faith is written in our DNA.

We are all attracted towards one thing ,that is self-fulfillment.We seek in different areas.Some people seek in the spiritual area and only few attain the "Light"They are determined seekers and are in love with the "Light "Perhaps only this gives true fulfillment in life.

As a materialistic, we got attracted towards gliters of life. and when we are not satisfied with this then we turn our path in search of truth. Now it depends if u get a right guide u will ultimately find truth, otherwise u will serve the cylce of life again and agian. Anything right or wrong u do, you have to bear the fruit of ur deed. If u donate ur good deeds (Punyas) u will get those many fold, then what about if u donate ur sin do they don't come back many fold. or god will absorb them????

My suggestion is if a bus hits you or something else don't go to the light. Light is bad when you are close to death. At least that is what people that avoid the light say.

However....I do not yet know, if the burning sensation, as one approaches the light....is transforming or detrimental.
I do know that a bug...may not forget a close call with the light, and may be forever attracted to it none-the-less.

by the light of the fire and jump into it thus destroying themselves.He [pbuh ] said that he was the warner sent to
warn people to keep away from this light that leads to the fire
but people are brushing him[pnuh ] aside and insist on jumping headlong into the Fire.
We know by the teachings of islam that the Road to everlasting life in Jannat ie. paradise is very difficult .It is full
of hardships and Trials and only those who have faith in the
one God almighty and do righteous good deeds , stand for
the truth and be patient in difficult times will be successful.
But the Road leading to this light of the hell fire is very easy.
