seems like my family lives together only for the sake of looking like a family...but when the five of us come together, we only seem to argue and fight...

Family means parents with their children in a home. But you are asking here about family for what purpose I don't know? You are also a member of family and living in family. That is your family.
Some time it is peaceful and some time disturbed and that way we are not feeling well and thinking that this is not a family. It is not possible for any one to controlled herself and that is the reason the family is disturbed and also members of family are also not felling good.
But I suggest you that don't think about your family that what it is, think only that what you have to do for your best and how you improve yourself for your family in the future that's all.
So take care and go ahead you will succeed sure and you also a one of improving your family .

sounds like a family to me..... at least todays family..... but in the end *family* support each other, take each other in stride, havve compassion for each other, love each other, keep each other grounded to what is real and honest, but family can also include those who are not of your blood...... blood does not a family make...... It is normal to disagree and argue...... it is the way that this happens that can cause harm in the relationships....... God bless

Family is knowing that even though you don't get along you still love one another. In my house family is not about how well we get along... it's about how we can all pull together when we need each other and knowing we can all depend on each other when it really matters.

family SHOULD be the one place you feel at home, where you feel loved, if you don't feel this, I think you guys need family counciling. alot of families have been saved by this.
