Use a vanilla flavoring syrup- like what Starbucks uses. You can get them at most grocery stores. And a coke should do it. For pete's sake, don't use that bottled vanilla flavoring you get in the spice isle for baking- bad news! :)

Something else that is fun, I do a lot with children.
Buy some dry ice (Be careful not to touch this stuff) some has the instructions for making carbonated water.
Pour you a glass of water and add some Vanilla Extract and a spoon of sugar and mix. Then drop a chunk of Dry Ice into the glass. I will go wild and when it calm down you have a Cream Soda. Any Extract will work, Root Bear, Mint etc. try for a favorite.

Oh, don't even ask about the crap that goes into a coke. Once I read and researched the ingredient list, I stopped drinking the stuff. Revolting, really, and not worth it.
