Do you not believe in all science or is it just evolution that you don't particularly like? For instance, do you believe in Adaptation? Cells? Elements? Atoms? Gravity? Basically, what other scientific theories do you have a problem with besides evolution?
Obviously i know each person has their own measure and degree of belief, so this questions is more of a survey i guess.

Just to clarify.... This isn't necessarily a evolution vs creation question....its a "what other areas of science do you believe or not believe besides evolution."

As one of the religious ppl to which you refer, I do not have a problem with any aspect of science, including evolution. I don't see why the big bang and evolution cannot simply be the means by which God created everything. The Genesis story, to me, is just that - a story that the ancients told in an attempt to explain that which they could neither explain nor understand. Science is a path to truth, just like religion is. I have no qualms with science.
...well, I take that back. I do believe that a line must be drawn somewhere (though I'm not sure exactly where) when it comes to human cloning, if and when that becomes feasible.

I believe what most educated, intelligent people would find reasonable. Of course, at one time not too many centuries ago, that same group I associate myself with believed the earth was flat. Also, have you heard the breaking news of the year? We only have eight planets in our solar system, not nine. Pluto no longer meets the grade. Seventy years ago, cancer was thought to be communicable by many people. I would say science history has had to be rewritten many times. There was, is and always will be one Truth.

Science is the way and method of obtaining knowledge. It would be absurd for me to deny the existence of a cell, but it is also equally absurd to believe in a cell. Why would I believe in a cell? I can't imagine what a cell looks like. And even if I tried, how would I know that my mental image or idea is what a cell really looks like or does?

I think this is a simplistic question. Evolution has certainly not been proven as far as I'm concerned. Take a look at http://www.answersingenesis.org. Ken Ham basically says that fossils and some other things could happen with a little water over a long period of time or a lot of water over a short period of time.
What do I believe? Some parts of science make absolute sense and show that there is an intelligent designer. However, if it goes blatantly against what the Bible tells me, then I don't believe it. The Bible is my first authority.

technology: the learn of the actual and organic international and phenomena, extraordinarily employing systematic assertion and test. (Encarta English Dictionary) You question is quite suggesting that technology is a faith to be believed in. technology is a technique no longer a concept gadget. It deals with theories and hypothesises that are in consistent flux by using new observations. only because of the fact Christians do no longer consider the conclusions reached does no longer recommend they have not have been given any expertise of technology frequently. Evolution is a type this is incapable of being examined by employing medical technique. A concept is testable; evolution isn't even a concept in medical words. Conclusions are drawn from evidence yet those conclusions are in accordance with past assumptions. Gravity is testable experimentally; evolution isn't. people who equate them and people who state evolution to be a actuality have not have been given any comprehension of technology or medical approach. yet another solid occasion of ridicule in accordance with lack of know-how. Edit - Wolfechu, the 2d regulation of thermodynamics is in direct contradiction to the type of evolution.

Religious. I'm a devout Christian.
I believe in evolution. I don't study science too deeply, so why would I doubt those that do?

I can observe gravity. I drop a pen and see it fall. Now if I dropped a pen and scientists said it would take 50,000,000 years to fall, I would doubt if gravity is real. Same with Evolution. If it is not observable, it is hard to have faith in it.

There are a few things that I question, but what you have here, are o.k. with me.
I do NOT believe that Embryonic Stem Cells save lives. NOTHING has been cured with ESC - Adult Stem Cells, however, have been shown to be VERY promising.

I believe in all of it that's proven.
Evolution... is a theory.
And don't give me the whole "gravity is a theory" speech.. .
