2 years ago I Snorted a bunch of aterol then smoked some meth, a couple hours later, i laid down to sleep, but couldn't so I got up and everything went dark and i started to have a seizure. I went to the hospital and they gave me some meds to get the stuff out of my system and slow my heart. A few weeks later I took some lexapro with beer. A few hours later I started to have an anxiety attack. I went to the hospital and found out that I had an eratic hart beat and they had to slow it down with an ivy and meds. Ever since then I have been having anxiety attacks. Not every day, but once in awhile. I thought my heart wasn't beating right and the dr. said that all the adrenaline my brain was releasing was causing me to have a split heart beat. He perscribed me paxil. I took it one day and started freaking out. I had a major anxiety attack. So I never took it again. I have such a phobia of those types of meds so I can't take them. any help? i dont do illegal drugs anymore or drink or smoke.

The Lord Jesus Christ knows whats going on with your body and knows what you need. He loves you. He knows everything about you. Pray for wisdom in what to do, or ask someone that has a strong relationship with Him to pray for that.

I know He loves people because he loved me right where I was and I was a mess. He has the power to heal you. He could restore your body to the way it is supposed to function and the first step is asking Him. Jesus had compassion on people and healed people according to their faith. He said if you have the faith of a mustard seed you could say to this mountain be removed and it would be cast into the sea. I prayed for you that God would heal you, but if He chooses not to I prayed that He would give you the grace to endure it. God has done so much in my life restoring me, and it would be awesome to see Him do the miraculous in yours! God bless you.

First of all NEVER be afraid of a panic attack. If you are afraid you will get another one. If you are not afraid the panic attack will last a while and then go away. Breath deep many times when you get one. Panic attacks are caused by an imbalance in brain neurotrasmiters. The spiritual explanation is that you are being attacked by a spirit this sets on your body response system. This is why you feel all your symptoms: heart palpitations, shortness of breath, etc. Acupuncture and yoga are excellent. Yoga because you learn breathing techniques. There are medicines that help. Many anti anxiety drugs can have that affect. Add to that the heavy drug abuse in the past, it no wonder you are "freaking out" Go see a Psychiatrist and a therapist. Combined they can come up with the best way to make you feel better.
There are some medications out there with minimal side effects and that you don't need to take forever. When you do have a panic attack (i get them too) always remember...the average attack lasts about 20 minutes.

First thing is not to get anxious about being anxious. That's called anticipatory anxiety, meaning you will always worry you will become anxious even when you are not. Try to monitor your behavior and figure out what could be triggering the anxiety. Is it your thoughts, your mood, your bodily sensations. You might ry keeping a journal noting when you get anxiety attacks and what happened just before them. If you continue, see a psychiatrist and with your own 'research,' you should be on your way to figuring out a treatment plan.

Ask your doc to make a referral to a therapist that specializes in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. They can help in most cases without meds.
