Give him a couple of tablespoons of canned pumpkin. Make sure you use pure pumpkin, and not the pumpkin pie filling. I would do this every day until the can runs out. It's a natural, easy way to fix constipation. (in dogs)
You can also do the pumpkin treatment if your dog has diahrea.

If it is a constant thing, daily doses of psyllium husk (as per two vets) is helpful - the capsules they sell contain this but Metamucil and Kirkland Fiber Laxative are 100% the same. For acute attacks, my vet told me to get a baby enema (again, if he sold it to me, that is what it would be - Fleat) from a drug store.

Try some warm chicken broth. Ours was constipated before and he loved the broth which made him have to go. good luck!

try pinapple juice, grass if he will eat it, vegitable oil, and use and enema to get him started, gross I know but it must be done.
