God is the one true God. You shall have no other gods before Me. Exodus 20:3 As you can see god is refering to a false god.

A god is something mythitcal and usually there are many. For example god of the sea or god of war and love.

There's a reason I use god, instead of God. Because God is a gesture of respect. Like a title. god is a sign of non-belief that places jehovah (lower case "j" is purposeful) in the same level as all other mythology. A way to say "its all crap" subtly.

god is generalized. For example, my GOD is different from a Mulsims god. They probably call thier god GOD just as I do because they believe that thier god is the only GOD just as I believe mine is. Get it?

I like your question!!! GOD is the almighty. But there are lots of gods out there, and satan being one of them, money, entertainment, and tons of other gods, every faith has one, but there is only one GOD, Jehovah!
