Can somebody answer that question? Tibet?....name another?
I saw the absurdly stupid lunatic Pentagon report on China's new military ambitions.
Here's a country, the USA, who since WWII has invaded Korea, Vietnam, Panama, Afghanistan, Iraq and others, and has been involved in countless intrusions into other countries everywhere on Earth accusing the Chinese of military expansionist ambitions. Are you people crazy or what?
Again expansionist ambitious invading monster American expose their own violent provocative hypocrisy by accusing others without evidence or foundation of being the violent warrior gang that they are themselves.
They even have the frigging nerve to announce that they must be prepared to intervene should China invade Taiwan as if somehow that is their business, 12,000 miles from home.
No wonder everybody hates America.

Tibet.
Parts of India (Kashmir).
Korea.
It's like this. Suppose a bunch of crazed white supremacists takes over the United States, except a bunch of high-level politicians and a bunch of the military expatriate to Hawaii. Many countries decide to support the claim of the United States government-in-exile to govern the continental United States. Let us suppose that the Chinese, Russian, French and English governments all tell the US that they will rip the US's arms off if it invades Hawaii.
Over the years, Hawaii becomes an indistrial and technolgical powerhourse. Granted, the predominance of military personnel leads from time to time to overbearing government style, but the Free United States persists, with the backing of the world community.
The US is not insane. The US has a mutual defense pact with Taiwan. We take those pacts seriously. We maintained detente all through the Cold War through mutual defense pacts. On the whole, we honor our pacts. If need be, we can blow things up to make our point.
Therefore Taiwan. US and Chinese policy clash over Taiwan.
China's insistence on territorial aggrandizement (Tibet, Taiwan, Kashmir, who's next?) represents a pre-Socialist thinking that, in my opinion, represents a step backward in social evolution.
Even Histomat has enough computional power to show how wrong this is.

That Wikipedia link via ragingflood exceptionally a lot describes the entire incident. besides the shown fact that, to sum it up right here: China did no longer technically invade India. China and India disputed the place their border ought to lie. they won't agree on the place it could be, and many of the territory became into uncharted because of the fact maximum of that's an rather mountinous area. In 1962, the conflict became violent and the two worldwide places went to conflict. The chinese language might have persevered into India, yet stopped on the line that they had deemed became into their territory. in case you have extra hardship looking this up, seek for the China and India conflict, Sino-Indian conflict, China-India Border conflict, and so forth. it won't be noted as an invasion.

What you need from us :-) You have given all the facts yourself. Perhaps someone may add more facts and that's all. But a small correction. China did invade India in 1962 over some disputed territory.

the american war machine is not happy with china. china is getting big and has bombs and money and military alliances with their neighbor russia. sending condi over is asking for it twice over. the woman is has the charisma of a potato. the chinese are not going to understand a slow, dull, not that attractive person trying to be the little miss grace and poise the republican party tries to make her. i mean really -- who would even invite her to a dinner party? her being interviewed by barbara walters was the most boring tv ever created. she can play piano about as well as your high school choir teacher -- and that is tv worthy? ok that was way too much off topic. el sueno de la razon produce monstruos.

You are very ill informed.
China invaded Korea in 1950. The U.S. did not invade Korea, they helped defend Korea against Chinese and Soviet puppet (NORK) aggression.
The U.S. never invaded Vietnam -- we were invited by the democratically elected government to assist them in defense against the aggression from the Soviet and Chinese puppet in North Vietnam.
The U.S. never invaded Panama -- we bought the land from Columbia in 1903, built the canal, and secured and protected the country for almost a century before freely giving it away.
We only invaded Iraq as part of throwing them out of Kuwait in 1991, and later as part of enforcing the cease fire agreements in 2003. Remember, they invaded their neighbor, we only stepped in to restore order and restrict aggression and enforce our cease fire agreement.
But to the heart of your question -- should the US defend Taiwan -- why not? The Republic of China (aka Taiwan) is entitled to protection from the aggression of the Soviet created state of Communist China.
Why do you think Communist China has the right to invade its neighbors -- including Tibet and Korea and as your questions suggests, Taiwan?
The United States of America has never invaded another country to seize its land and treasure. It has frequently invaded to free oppressed people and grant them the right of self-determination. In exchange, we only ask for enough land to bury our dead.
Everyone may hate America, but when their freedom is threatened, they can't wait to see American soldiers.
