A glass of wine every once in a great while.....however, the more I run the less I seem to be able to enjoy alcohol. It doesn't give me that same feeling it used to. It makes me feel incredibly dehydrated and usually causes a head ache. But there is nothing wrong w/ a drink once in a while. The people here make it seem like an incredible sin. Maybe they don't realize that the corn syrup in their power bars and energy drinks..... and the smog they breath in during an outdoor run is an equal pollutant to your body. You just can't get away from it.

I partied every weekend after invitationals with a lot of atheletes. Alcohol does nothing to your running abilities, just dehydrates you, but then again so does soda. If you drink lots of water the next day, you're fine.

Anyways; 151 w/ Dr. Pepper Chaser. Miller or Coors Light.

Everything I've heard says alcoholic beverages will slow you down ... and believe me, I don't need to slow down.

However, I have many friends that have been known to rehydrate with a beer or two.
