Walking is the best exercise there is. Start out doing at least 20 minutes (or more if you feel like it) a day then gradually increase your time and speed. Make sure to do some warm-ups before you start walking so that you will be more flexable and your legs won't cramp up on you. You might also want to lift weights three days a week to tone up your arms and upper body. Limit the number of soda drinks to maybe two or three a week (I have a cousin that just lost 25 pounds just by doing that). Drink at least eight cups of water a day.

find daily calorie intake calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours - it optimizes your metabolism)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have protein (lean meat, legumes etc) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, pasta etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

No one can help you. You have to want it, not someone else. It takes tons of willpower to start getting into the habit of cardio and dieting.
If you give up, you obviously don't want it bad enough.
