That's one of those questions where the answer can be debated no matter what side you come down on. As a general rule, a man is supposed to be leading a congregation. But the question is, can there be any exceptions.
When you look at the book of Judges you see that the people of Israel were in a pretty pathetic state. In chapters 4 & 5 God had to use a woman as a Judge and Prophetess. When she called Barak to lead the army against Israel's enemies he wouldn't go unless she went with him. Talk about a bunch of faithless wimps.
So while it is not God's perfect plan for a woman to be a leader, He can use anyone that He wants to if no man steps up to fill the role. That's the exception. The rule is given in this passage.
1 Timothy 2:12 I do not permit a woman to teach or to exercise authority over a man; rather, she is to remain quiet. 13 For Adam was formed first, then Eve; 14 and Adam was not deceived, but the woman was deceived and became a transgressor.

IMO a woman can be a pastor. I have heard over and over that the man is the head of the household and that men should be the head of the church. Well women usually run Sunday Schools and children's church. I think a woman can teach and preach about God as well as a man, I just don't see why your gender should matter. There are a lot of churches these days that have female pastors. Anyway, in the long run I don't think it matters.

Yes, I believe so. Though it is uncomfortable at times to here that a church has a women pastor (due to the fact traditon has taught me that a pastor is a man) I believe that just as a woman can be called to be an evangelist and a missionary, she can be called to be a Pastor.

Women have been feeding people physically and spiritually from the beginning of time. Women are generally the spiritual back bone of the family, making sure that the family attends worship and learns the faith. To deny women the role of pastor that they already provide is to denegrate their historical role as keepers of the faith. Women nurture life in the womb. Women are the keepers of the mysteries of life and death.
For those who will quote a verse or two from St. Paul, he was clearly a misogynist. There are those who believe he was also gay. Makes sense to me.

Only if she goes to seminary. I don't see why women, in this day and age, can't be chosen by the Creator. If men can do it, so can women. As women can all ready be pastors, I don't see how this is up for debate.

Not according to the sexist book called the Bible. Here's what the Bible says about women:
1 Corinthians chapter 14:
As in all the congregations of the saints, women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the Law says. If they want to inquire about something, they should ask their own husbands at home; for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church.
But I want you to understand that the head of every man is Christ, the head of a woman is her husband, and the head of Christ is God. Any man who prays or prophesies with his head covered dishonors his head, but any woman who prays or prophesies with her head unveiled dishonors her head--it is the same as if her head were shaven. For if a woman will not veil herself, then she should cut off her hair; but if it is disgraceful for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her wear a veil. For a man ought not to cover his head, since he is the image and glory of God; but woman is the glory of man. (For man was not made from woman, but woman from man. Neither was man created for woman, but woman for man.) That is why a woman ought to have a veil on her head, because of the angels.-1 Corinthians 11
Timothy chapter 2:
Also that women should adorn themselves modestly and sensibly in seemly apparel, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or costly attire but by good deeds, as befits women who profess religion. Let a woman learn in silence with all submissiveness. I permit no woman to teach or to have authority over men; she is to keep silent.
Isn't it clear that women should be silent? Yes. That's one reason I am an atheist.
