...if the Bible were written with God being female? Not necessarily using the term Goddess, but just using female pronouns, She instead of He? Since, as some have said, God has no sex, what, if any, problem would you have with that?

Would i have a problem with that.......Not at all.
But with all of the controversy surrounding the bible and the books in it, not to mention the books left out...who is to say that the female aspect of God is/was not predominant for a period of time?
Look at all of the mess surrounding Mary Magdelene! They would rather discount her, rather then praise her as the desciple that she really was...
But then again, I am not of the Christian faith......so Bless them all!
Blessed Be!

Let's do it. I would have no problem with thinking or reading of God and/or Her people in a female sense. God seems to exhibit more female traits than male traits anyway.

In a sense, one book in the bible (the Wisdom of Solomon, or the Book of Wisdom) has already done so. Wisdom translates in some forms to "the wisdom of woman" or "Sophia". (Sophia is not only the Greek word for wisdom; as a woman's name it better expresses the personification rather than the more abstract and neuter-sounding "Wisdom")* p.149 of Marcus Borg's "Reading the Bible Again for the First Time.

I've been reading the bible in a gender neutral sense for quite some time. The only problem I would have with completely replacing the male pronouns with the female ones is that it would eventually lead, once again, to an image of God that falls far short of any representation that we could attribute to such an incomprehensibly loving, nurturing, forgiving and omniscient being.

It is definitely a change, and any change in any direction is none-the-less a change. And this world needs change.

What are you attempting to coach right here? there are a variety of of of cultures that are "sins" in accordance to the bible. Being at cutting-edge.... and atheist.... I fall into considered one of them. yet i do no longer understand why a lot of persons are non secular. faith in many circumstances motives issues. And whilst it relatively is not inflicting issues, it relatively is emphasizing on ones that already befell. And a lot of church homes are corrupt, with molesting altar boys and such... what's on the different hand sacred approximately church anymore? ok... so whilst I appreciate the Judeo-Christian ethic, besides because of the fact the jap philosophies and of direction the instructions of Mohamed, i hit upon that prepared faith has corrupted those believes to justify limitless atrocities for the duration of historic previous. If I have been to attend church, i could be a hypocrite. So so you might call homosexuals sinners is only as debatable as calling an atheist a sinner. And with the way you look to ingredient god is so "on your area" approximately issues, (as in, god forgives you and such and you are able to redeem your self blah blah blah) --It is senseless! Why might he hear to you extra suitable than somebody who would not have faith in him? have you ever had a verbal replace with god? i do no longer think of he solutions all his fan letters in my view. So, yeah. it relatively is all i will say for now. Please respond via sending me a message. I do get excitement from it whilst human beings postpone their bring about a controversy. sometimes they're dazzling.... dazzling?

I would have no problem with that at all, if that is what God did. But He didn't. He revealed Himself as "Father", and that image requires male pronouns, even though we realize God is not "male" as we understand that term. Pure Spirits (God and angels) do not have gender. Why would they? The principle purpose of gender is reproduction, and Spirits do not reproduce.

It is unknown if God is male or female, but in Genesis it
is said that God made man in his own image, this would
indicate that God has a masculine image rather than a
female image. Thus you here the references to God in the
male persuasion (God wants us to Love HIM).

If God made man in his own image, we can assume that
God is not female. So yes, it would bother me, I would
consider this language to be from feminists.

The problem is that religion is controlling God making it more powerful than if God could control religion.
