glued in is bad for your hair, sewn in takes forever but they are there....they get really heavy when you wash your hair, if you can find clip in that you like that is the best way to go

Here are your options:

1. Glued Extensions- This would be my vote. They are usually the cheapest option, and if some of the hair becomes loose, you can buy the extension glue yourself to glue it back. The hair also looks fairly natural this way as well. The only drawback is that if you or your stylist isn't careful, your hair can (and probably will) break off where the glue was applied. You can wear these extensions for about 1.5 months if properly taken care of.

2. Weaved In- Here, the natural hair is braided close to scalp and extensions are sewed on to your natural hair braids. Because there is more time involved, this tends to be more expensive, but it lasts longer (2-3 months if properly taken care of). The drawbacks are that you'll probably have to go back to your stylist to take them out (which may mean an extra fee), and it costs more.

3. I would strongly discourage getting clips. I've heard great things about the one's from Jessica Simpson's hair line, but this type of weaving can be easily pulled out and the clips don't always lay down flat, which makes for a very unnatural look if you're wearing your hair down.

Hope this helps!

Oh, and be careful about what type of hair you choose, a style down to the middle of your back will have the tendency to tangle.

Don't Get Them Glued In Because I Heard It's Hard To Get The Glue Out. My Sister Actually Had To Cut Some Of Her Hair Out Because Of The Glue. It Would Be Best To Get It Weaved In.

I've had the glue ins, the weave ins, fusion ins and the clip ins. Glue ins _ lasts for 3 days, weave ins - lasts for 2 weeks, fusion expensive and ruined my hair, pulling it all out over 6 months time and getting them out further screws up you hair. If you have haif you like you can get a long layered look with gradually cut layered clip ins. They are cheap and you can even make them yourself after your first pair and you see how they work. It takes me no more than 5 minutes to put htem in everyday. People don't even know the difference but the day I wear them I get lots of compliments on my hair. Rachel Welch are the best.

If you get them glued in they may fall out , with weaved in they can get really prices but are good but you also need to pay to get them out and with clips you can have different lenght all the time and you could ta better care of them and they will not be as much monye.

There are specialized glues available to hairdressers that are not as bad for your hair, and last longer. If you do that, be sure to select a hairdresser or salon that has a lot of experience to do it for you. Have them explain to you their methods.
For having strands woven into your hair is time consuming, but less damaging to your hair. The negative here is the cost.
Clips can be good or bad, depending on how much work you want to do after you've had it done. Once you learn how to use them, you can have a lot of fun with them. You will have to put them in daily, or use a bun form so that you can sleep on it with out pulling it out.

There are pros and cons to each one.
with glued in - it may be noticeable if not done properly and securely. glue can get stuck in your scalp and start flaking off, as well.
weaved in - hurts! but very secure. hardly noticeable.
clips - well, nothing's wrong with clip-ins but you will have to keep putting them on, which can be annoying everyday. and make sure you don't pull your hair with the clip, it could come out!
Hope I helped.

If you are considering clip-ins, go to hsn.com, click on 'beauty', then on Toni Brattlins beauty secrets. I have some of her pony tails and wigs. The color matches my hair exactly and it looks like hair. She has lots of clip-ins on there too.
