When I ask my Pastor, if a certain thing is a sin or not , he always asks me : " Does it glorify God ? " Pray to god about it , He will give you an answer.
Unlike some other rude crackerjacks here.

Christians say we have free will, yet we don't own the bodys?

I think if your christian its technically a sin. But it isn't so bad, and everyone does it. Sex is supposed to be pleasurable. When we can't have sex, we use the next best thing. Plus, it also lets you establish what you like in bed. Plus, you don't have anyone sleeping on you when its over with =P

As for medical side effects, there are none that are bad. It can relax you.

Do you see that it is a sin? If you do, why? If its because of your religion, I can understand wanting to stick to it, but what about sexual frustration?

It is a sin against ones on body. So a personal sin. If that makes sense, there are is a case in the bible were a man was put to death for having his semen go out on to the earth, meaning he masturbated, but in this case it was cause he was not obeying a command to lay down witha certain woman to impregnant her. (there's more to this but it's long.....you could probably look it up yourself somehow) but in the case of today and it's a personal sin, meaning its not a serious as maybe having sex before marriage, or even much more serious adultry. And there are no medical benifit's more matter what people say, it just is pleasurable. So maybe yes it makes you happy at first....but do you feel guilty after? That doesn't feel good. And maybe listen to your guilt, sometimes your consceince knows us better than we think we do. Hope that helps

No absolutely NOT. You're not "lusting" after anyone, you're touching your own body in a way that triggers sexual gratification. We are made sexual. God made us that way. Sexual urges come as a normal biological function. We have all the right buttons, so to speak.
Sexual intercourse outside of marriage is Fornication, and is pegged as "a sin against your OWN body, according to the bible ." Sexual intercourse with someone outside your marriage is adultery. LUST- is defined as: 1. Intense or unrestrained sexual craving. 2. a. An overwhelming desire or craving, so the question is is masturbation considered LUST, NO. I don't believe so, it can be contained and controlled. Lust is having no restraint at all.

Masturbation is a normal process, mother nature if you will. It is not a sin as you are not cheating nor sinnong on a loved one. There are no medical side effects, infact if anything it will reduce and release your stress level and you will feel more relaxed. I do this a couple times a week and feel rejouvinated. When it is tiem to be intimate with my honey I enjo it even more. No sin in it, it is self happiness.

When you masturbate who are you thinking of. If it's not your partner then it's classed as lusting after something.

Even if you are not being physically unfaithful with someone, thinking it leaves you vulnerable and open to being unfaithful.

Jesus teaches about lust in Matthew 5:27-28 and it's for our benefit, it does not mean that God doesn't love us if we masturbate.

It depends on what your religion is. I think Catholic might consider it a sin. But then again wether what you do(within the limits of the law) is right or wrong depends on what you believe. Personally I dont consider it as a bad thing.

sin is any act against the Word and Will of God... there is no prohibition against masturbation in The Bible... but there is concerning what most people think about when they are doing "it".... medical side affects... many a boy has worn it raw more than once... and many have a permanent twist depending on the hand used...I would emagin more than one girl has had it a bit red more than once as well.

Obviously not, as most footballers and referees allegedly take part (judging from the squealing of crowds at matches)...and the former get mucho dinero for it.

If it's an act of lust then it's definitely sinful. If not, I guess it's okay. The Bible doesn't teach clearly on that particular issue (Genesis 38 is the only passage I know of that says anything at all.).
