Not at first, but after a bit, I can tell the difference between someone "talkin the talk" but aren't really saved. They speak "Christian-ese". We have to be careful about telling someone about Christ without talking about repentance. People who are really saved, DO have a "light" about them. I was 37 when I got saved and I was being witnessed to from every angle. Baptist, pentecostel, AG, non-denomination, they didn't know each other, but were all telling me the same thing.
I KNEW they had something different. I KNEW it would happen to me. I didn't know HOW to get it, I knew I didn't want to fake it, because what they had was REAL. Consequently, God made it known to me when I was saved. The morning after, I had like a rush of the Holy Spirit that filled my car that I closed all the windows because I was like a sponge and didn't want it to leave. Well, now I OPEN the windows to share the Holy Spirit with everyone!
So....I think the people that see it, may want it, but (besides being prideful)are afraid they'll have no fun and they have to give up stuff, etc. I have more fun as a Christian than I did any other way. Things are more funny, because we aren't making fun of people, except ourselves. We don't have to tell dirty jokes, or cuss or be drunk and when we laugh, we are truly joyful.
Isn't Jesus indescribably cool?

I personally believe that other people do recognize the glow and happiness in our eyes. They may not mention it, as we are prone to mention it to someone whom we feel is a Christian, but I am certain they do notice that we are different than a person who does not have a personal relationship with Christ.

The more important issue is not whether we convince others that we are different, but that we continue to be the salt of the earth (the spice), the light that shines in darkness, and allow our love to show in our ever day vicissitudes of life. As we go through our daily routine, and we come in contact with people in the various activities of our day, we have ample opportunities to show what true Christianity is about, and it is not merely how wonderful our eyes glow, or if they detect what makes us different. The most important thing is that we show the love of God by also loving others in a manner that sets us apart from the norm.

When we continually act in a way that is pleasing and admirable, eventually people will notice, and wonder what causes our calm, cool, loving, kind and giving actions, and then at this time, we can explain.

They don't see happiness and fulfillment in christians. They see most christians as religious, self righteous hypocritical prudes that they do not want to be around. Jesus never ever acted like present day christians and he never, ever had a condemning word to say about those doing wrong things. However, he always had bad things to say about religious folks. They ticked him off big time. I believe that if Jesus walked on the earth today, he'd have the very same attitude toward christians. By the way, I am a christian.

Because some do not recognize God. And the light is God in us. The glow is God surrounding us. Can't see if you don't believe. But seriously I think often our hearts know when we meet another chrisitan before we even get started chatting. The Holy Spirit leaps for joy in our hearts.

Some people do and some people get a conviction in their heart because of the anointing on that person that is saved and they run from it.

Because you choose to wear the rose colored glasses...
everyone else sees the world as it is and not as a fantasy where everything is perfect for just themselves.
Talk about not being able to face reality ...

Yes, Christians can tell when someone is a Christian. Our spirit bears witness with theirs. I think unsaved people don't notice because they don't have the spirit of God in them.

they haven't experienced what we did, so they don't know! But they can tell the difference, although WE might not notice. It is wonderful to be a testimony to them.
