yes...it is natural and more healthy. Just look at the two ingrediants. It also has a better taste. But remember that frying food is not good to do in the first place!!!

Have fun cooking and use the olive oil.

olive oil is not a good frying oil because it has a low burning temperature. If you are looking for a healthly alternative to vegetable oil, use canola. Canola oil has no saturated fat and has mono/polyunsaturated fat( the good kind). Dont even buy vegetable oil, they are interchangeable, and will not make a difference in taste, texture, color etc. It is also great for frying. Use olive oil for basic cooking, and canola for frying and baking.

You can use olive oil for pan frying/sauteing, but not for deep frying foods. Olive oil still contains just as many calories as any other oil, but it's a better type of oil for you. Remember though that olive oil has particular taste (go ahead and try some on your finger or dip some bread into it, you'll see what I mean). I would not use it for popping popcorn or baking.

I can assure you olive oil isn't good to fry.
Italian people (like me) use vegetable oil (expecially made from peanuts) to fry and olive oil to season things like salads.
The smell of olive oil fried is too strong.

Olive oil has to low of a smoking point. It will smoke or burn before it gets hot enough to fry foods. It's ok to use in sauteing because you don't need to get the oil that hot. Canola oil is a good substitue.

olive oil is doesn't "fry" very well. if you are looking for a better alternative oil when frying you may want to try peanut oil.

They are both oils, so it makes no difference.

However, olive oil is not good for frying. Sauteeing, yes, but not frying.
