If you are willing to use circular logic (reasoning) when addressing a question that shakes your beliefs, you need to ask yourself this question: Do I truly believe what I say I believe. If you believe something, then you believe it...plain and simple. If you feel strongly about what you believe, then nothing can shake the foundation of that belief. On the other hand, if you are unsure about your belief or insecure about it, then it can (and probably will) crumble.

Questioning makes your beliegs either stronger or weaker. Also it depens on the question you are asking as well as what data you are using to determine the answer to that question.
Example:
Paleontologists say that you date the fossils by the rock strata that they are found in, but it can more accurately be said that the rock strata is dated by the fossils that are in it.
Totally circular reasoning. The idea is that there is a Geologic Column (which there is not. it was made up in the 1850s [?]) and that the earth is millions of years old.
Carbon 14 dating is biased upon how old they THINK it should be. they throw out all data that does not come to the conclusion that they have already made based upon where the fossil was found.
they are using rubber rulers and outdated modes of data to answer their questions. therefore their answers are meaningless and keep them in their delusion. Now if they were to really look at it scientifically with no pre test biases, then they might find out something new and their views might have to change.
just make sure that when you question that you are not using bad data or preconceived biases upon which you are accepting or rejecting the answers you come to.
hope that helps. :D
If you are diligent in seeking Truth, Father will show it to you.

If you have a conflict with something, then it is time to face it. Something good will always come out of it if you are a sincere seeker. Don't back down. You are being asked to refine your belief or reject it. Either way, you will come out on top and be a stronger person if you seek the answer to the conflict. You will either disarm the deception or find a greater truth when your belief has been challenged. This is the essence of spiritual growth and maturity. Be patient. Ponder and wonder about the challenge. The Truth in time will provide you answer.

God existence can be reasoned with clarity and evidence all around us. If you have a concern about any other belief, you need to justify it by facts and the Words of God, found in the three Books of Guidance that exist today .... the Torah, the Bible and the Quran ......... and you need to find out which is the truth.

Wouldn't know, haven't come across an intelligent question that could shake my belief. My atheists friends don't try to shake my belief. Mature, intelligent atheists don't visit this section for obvious reasons, which leaves the bashers and trolls in this section, who quite honestly, don't appear to have the intelligence to pose an intelligent question.

Embrace that question, ask related ones one of two things will happen.
Your beliefs will come out stronger
You will begin to question your god.
Neither is bad, however if you follow Christianity, perhaps you should read the Bible VERY carefully, and attempt to pick out the contraditions, or search the internet, they are there.

Only if you prefer to be an ostrich with your head in the sand.
Questions that hit us where we believe have a definite purpose - to strengthen our faith.. By thinking them through, we define and refine our personal faith.
If you avoid the questions - especially the tough ones - you stagnate in whatever your faith is.

We all should be shaken once in a while. It's always best to face the truth. Defensive tactics don't change it.
