Are you close-minded to them, or do you believe in learning about and understanding other faith traditions, regardless of the differences of beliefs?

I believe I am an open minded person, and also it is important to respect other people's faith and traditions. As a Muslim I sincerely do hope that Allah guides others to Islam, but it is not for us to decide whether someone else is wrong or right.

As people it is important for us to not be ignorant. I respect others as I expect others to respect me.

From your name Shafeeqah, I believe you are a Muslim. I assume that you became a Muslim because your parents brought you up as such. You are asking if people will be open in learning about , and understanding, other faith traditions, especially, the Muslim traditions, I believe.

First of all, I would like to ask you if you are close-minded or open to these things. If you are open, then well and good, and this is what Yahoo’s R&S Answers will provide you. If you are close-minded, how can you expect others to be open? Remember that it is not a requirement to be belonging to a particular religion to go to Heaven. There are only two requirements for us to enter Heaven—to know and believe in the true God and to follow His commandments.

I was baptized as a Roman Catholic when I was a baby but now I am a non-denominational Christian, a plain follower of Jesus. As such, I am open to know the teachings and traditions of other faith. In fact, I read about them and compare them with Christianity. Not only in reading but also in conversation with people of other faith, on television, on the Internet do I learn about them. These are ways by which I learn to know other faith to discern the truth. I also find that logically, even without any holy scripture, the true God can be determined by the fulfillment of His prophecies. Remember that--prophecies.

I find faith traditions not only interesting, but I find that all the different faith traditions at the deepest level hold the same values on life, peace, compassion, right relationships, and love.

I am soo open-minded to other faiths. You can never stop learning. Everyone has something different to teach. Besides, its interesting to see something outside of what you know.

I have studied religions of the world and have taught my children to understand them. We can only learn through the differences in belief that we are ONE people...ONE race...the HUMAN Race.

I like hearing what other people believe. Doesn't mean I agree with their beliefs, but it's always interesting to know how other people think and what motivates them.

I used to regard them as something harmless and worth learning about. But increasingly I find myself in the religion is a plague on humanity camp and thinking that the sooner we retire these silly superstitions the better off will all be.
