I am only 13 and he is almost 16. I really like him a lot. Is it ok to have a boyfriend that much older than you?

Yes, your parents will go crazy if they knew. Brake up with him and do your homework.

The age difference in years is not a big thing but you have to realise that in terms of what happens to adolescent's bodies between those ages there may be a big difference between your maturity. (I'm not saying that you're immature). Lets not beat around the bush here - when I was 16 (and the same goes for most of my friends) it was all about making your way past as many bases as possible. At your age you probably aren't ready for that kind of thing - and you should not be pressured into feeling that you are. I don't know the guy and his heart might be in the right place, but be aware that some guys will say all kids of things to get what they want from you and don't let yourself be pressured into anything you're not comfortable with.

No probably not. A 16 yo boy has lots of other things in mind that you may not be ready for...are you hiding this realationship from your parents? If so, then that means there is not something quite right...you should try and date boys your own age b/c you will be able to connect with them on the same level. Be careful around a boy who is older than you b/c he might end up w/ more control, and put you in situations that you are not ready for (you might think you are, but you are not!). Please take my advice to <3. I am 23 now, but when I was your age I dated guys much older than me, and as a result was exposed to drugs, alcohol, and sex much too early. Please enjoy your youth, and stop trying to grow up too fast!

it can be a problem. what do your parents think? you are only 13, if this is such a concern maybe you dont need a boyfriend yet. just hang out with him and dont do things you aren't ready for. 3 years isn't that big at older ages, but 16 yr old boys are ready for things 13 yr old should not even consider. please be careful. talk to your mom about it, and remember that she loves you and is only going to protect you. don't be mad if she says no to your dating him.

I don't think 13 year old girls should worry about having a boyfriend PERIOD! It's a shame you all condone it. Then you cry that your daughters got pregnant at a young age, boo hoo hoo where did I go wrong? This is where you go wrong. Go play with some Barbies before you are used up before you reach the age 18!

It's not about the age difference. It's more about how he treats you. A lot of times older guys want more in a relationship then guys your own age.

yes. i think it is perfectly okay. just make sure you are datong him for the right reasons. not because he is forcing you or if i impresses your friends. if you guys truely love eachother, then i give you my blessings and i say have fun, be safe, and make the best of it!!

It depends. If you've known him for a long time then yes. Does he like you a lot too?? Because if he does, then it's a yes.
