My boyfriends parents invited me to go to six flaggs with them like 3 weekends from now but they need to know by 2marrow at the latest and my mom said no... But i asked her if she could rethink it cuz i really wanna go she said that amusement parks are dangerous and she doesn't wanna chance it but on the other hand i wanna go and be with my boyfriend and have a good time, i have never been to an amusement park so this would be a new thing for me someone helpp.....

Tell your mom to lighten up. They are not dangerous. I used to work at a Six Flags & it was perfectly safe there. I've also been to a number of amusement parks in my time & I've never gotten hurt. it sounds like she's watched the news too much, yes they are unsafe if the people riding the rides do not follow the guidelines. My daughter goes to our local amusement park with her dad, we got her a season pass. She just knows the rules and stays with my hubby or his best friend who takes his step daughter. Sadly as long as you live under her roof you have to obey her wishes. Coming from a parents standpoint don't push it, it will make the situation worse...there is nothing more angering when a child after they have been told no to keep bugging about it.

Well I can see your mom is nevous about amusment parks. You should tell her that you would really like to go and your boyfriend parents will be there to supervise and make sure every thing is going to be okay.

well, amusement parks can be dangerous, people have died on rides....but I think your mom is being a little too overprotective in this case.
IF your boyfriend's parents are going to be there too, then you may want to ask them to call your mother and talk to her, to assure that you two will be supervised & safe...that might help convince her.
