Yes. Eight years ago, I read and researched the Bible as a Christian struggling with her faith. Upon reading it, I gave up on faith, realizing that I had based it upon a series of lies and contradictions. When I have religious arguments with people, it always surprises me that these people have no idea what their religion says or what it is based upon. It's always a pain in the butt to look up verses when they don't believe me that the Bible... condones killing in some books, or rape in other books, etc. The Bible was clearly written by misguided men or a God not worth believing in.

And your point is?? You don't have to read the bible to go to heaven or even know the Lord.
It is like saying did you ever notice how some people didn't finish school, but are on the internet typing their opinion? No point what so ever.

Yes. I've also notice that may who do read the bible twist it to suit their own lusts for power.

Towards the end of the Communist rule in the USSR, the citizens were using the pages from bibles (and anything else they could find) as toilet paper.
Any port in a storm I guess.

Yes it's sad. The Truth and Light, is something a lot of men and women do not want. As the scripture says, "Men choose the darkness."

Did you ever notice the amazing amount of other faiths in the world...all claiming to be the one true faith.
Hence, one of the reasons, why people discredit them all

How would I notice that, I tend to read books when on my own, so no one would know what I read.
