1) Being an atheist does not demand of you to believe in evolution. Atheists simply do not believe in any gods.
2) Evolution is proven consistently and frequently. If you ever read something written about science that wasn't propaganda written by creationists, you would know these things.
3) No, there actually aren't any contradictions in the theory of evolution. Again, try educating yourself and stop reading religious propaganda.
4) The bible is full of contradictions because it is a collection of mythology written over the span of thousands of years. See http://www.skepticsannotatedbible.com for details.
5) There is no such word as CUZ.
6) Try reading the things on this website. I know you don't want to, but do it anyway:

Why didn't you ask that question as atheists and christians since I know a number of christians that also believe in evolution - like my own parents.
Evolution has proof, much more than creationism since it has none.
Of course there are contradictions in the bible - it was written by different people who had different takes on the same events. It is a totally human work with human bias intact. Perhaps if the early fore-fathers of the roman catholic church were more careful when they picked and choose what to put in the bible they would have gotten around that.

You're kidding right? First off, one need not be an atheist to believe in evolution. Secondly, an atheist need not believe in evolution (though i don't know what alternate theory they might have). Third, the bible is full of contradictions. Fourth, what few contradictions exist in evolution are not accepted under faith, but are constantly being studied to help explain them. Fifth, ah screw it.

If you believe in evolution then we came from monkeys yeah. But if you believe in creationism then we came from a pile of dirt and a rib. Which would you prefer. Personally I'll go with monkeys. btw, There ARE contradictions in the bible: http://www.infidels.org/library/modern/jim_meritt/bible-contradictions.html
http://skepticsannotatedbible.com/contra/by_name.html
And creationism can't be proven either.
Lack of evidence does not equal lack of existence.
The Bible is only proof to those who believe it is the word of God, to everyone else it is just a book.

Dear mark m,
Most atheists and rational people believe in evolution because they examine the evidence that supports it. Contrary to god beliefs, there is no evidence to support that any god exists (let alone your's).
If you feel there are no contradictions to the bible, you are entitled to your opinion. However, if you have an open mind, please check out the website listed below for a list of biblical contradictions.

I am Christian and I personally don't believe in evolution and I think it should be taught as a "theory" which BTW it was its original title... Also, every Christian knows that the Bible isn't flawless. Neither is the Torah or Qur'an. If there was a flawless religious text we would all follow that instead of having different religions and cultures, now that would be a boring world.

Of course there's proof for evolution. There are no contridictions. No matter how many times you say it, it doesn't make it true. Look up evolution here and learn what it really is. http://www.talkorigins.org
And find the contridictions in the bible here. There are many.

I guess now you're going to admit that you're wrong, right? Yeah, I didn't think so.

not everything about evolution is wrong, its obvious that there is adaptation, but to believe evolution all the way down to the big bang THEORY, now that is a huuuuge stretch. the scientific evidence for that is weak. something had to create something, unless somehow you can explain that bacteria or whatever always existed?how could something had existed forever--thats impossible.we do need science, and do need to continue to search out scientific truths--but atheists, consider this 200-300years ago we all knew for a fact the earth was flat, and the sun revolved around the earth, what will we know for sure 200 years from now that disproves what we thought we knew today--dont put all your faith in science and man, they will betray you, God will not
