It is a miracle that one survived.
The odds were very much against him.
Losing 1000 lives would be much worse then losing 999.
Every life is a precious miracle.

I totally agree. Disasters, murders, disease and if one person survives then it's a miracle or god was looking out for them. Why would one or part of a group of people be cured or survive something...? It's all about coincidence or just the result of the situation. People have to have a crutch to lean on.

God in His wisdom knows how each individual is to be treated, and we are all to be treated differently.
Because we can't understand the reasons ourselves, it does not mean that reasons don't exist.
The survival of the one would be considered a miracle if that survival defied human understanding, if not, then it would not be considered a miracle.
We pray, not to change God's will, but to fulfil it, as often prayer is the condition that something is to be done.
- God requires this to train us in an understanding of our dependence upon Him.

There is no such thing as a miracle.
For a miracle to happen, something REALLY bad has to happen first.
Someone has a near death experience, but lives. Baby born underdeveloped, but lives. One person lives one deadly plane crash.
Suddenly, miricles aren't so miraculous.

Because when all the 1000 die, there is another terms for it.
If it happens in another country, Foreign policy.
If it happens in your country, FEMA.
If it happens all over the world, Bush administration.

It's a lot like Job, no one would want to be the one survivor.
