You can't beat the good old reliable anchovy (general all purpose) bait! You can't get much more "murky" than Salton Sea, where you will get the best results with a simple lure called a jig, not organic bait. Just drop it straight down and raise and lower the jig constantly. Hot action guaranteed!

If your fishing for bass then I would use a white or bright yellow lure like a spinnerbait or buzzbait but the best bait is probably a bright colored popper.I have been catching a lot lately on bright colored poppers in merky water. If it's hot where you are then use a popper.Because bass bite topwater better when it's hot.If it's cold or warm use the spinnerbait.

Any lure that gives off alot of noise and/or flash. I would say a spinnerbait or a chatterbait would work best...this is if you are aiming towards bass

i don't recognize in the event that they are nevertheless hitting Topwaters or no longer, yet once you notice some Bass bustin' shad close to the exterior, i could flow with a a million/4oz rebellion Pop-R in any of the gizzard shad, Arkansas shad, blues, grays, just about something "shad-like" is my widespread. Make a stable long solid and enable it take a seat for as long as you are able to take it. Then, i'm going to commonly "walk-the-canines" or provide my seize some rapid "area-to-area" strikes and stop. In truly muddy water, i could flow with a a million/2oz pink & Black Jig (with rattles) and a 4" Chigger Craw trailer. Or exceedingly plenty any vast crayfish trailer with flappin' palms will artwork. in greater clearer water, i admire PB & J or any "softer" colour, with a three" crayfish trailer, length ideally be a million/2oz or a million/4oz. For Spinnerbaits in muddy water, i admire a a million/2oz Chartreuse or Chartreuse & White Spinnerbait with one vast, thumping, Colorado blade. In much less muddy water, i could flow with a a million/2oz White Spinnerbait with a tandem blade (Colorado & Willow). In sparkling water, i could flow with a a million/4oz White Spinnerbait with 2 Willow blades; although, i could desire a comfortable swimbait (which contain Yum's money Minnow) in greater sparkling water. don't get Plastic Worms out of the photograph. a stable 6 or 7" motor oil, purple shad, pink, or black malicious application will seize fish 365 days long (for the main section). In greater sparkling water i admire a 5" Senko, Stik-O or Yum Dinger Texas rigged.
