buy a foot tub from target. the kind that vibrate theyre as cheap as $20 & a good investment if u wear open toe anything. soak ur feet in hot/warm water for 20-30 minutes then use a pumice stone (the body shop has an excellent one with a handle for lyk $3) use the pumice stone on ur callouses scrub all that thick skin off, which will be white & soft after u soaked it & then soak again for a litle while longer. dry em off and use some nice thick lotion, thicker the better, if its a foot cream good, but basically as long as its a thick cream, then put on some socks. the soaking & the pumice stone are the main things. u should do this once a week if possible.

Get a sloughing lotion for feet, get a foot/callus file, and get some vaseline and some old socks. Here's what ya do:
Soak your feet in warm water for a few minutes, then apply the sloughing lotion and rub it in well. It's grainy and it helps work some of that dead skin off. Soak your feet again with the lotion and then use a towel to rub the rest of it off. Use the file and work it on the heel of your foot and wherever else you have rough, dead skin or calluses. Put a little lotion on there and you can call yourself done. Best thing to do is this, though! Put a thick layer of vaseline over your feet (THICK LAYER) then put the socks on and go to bed. You'll wake up with soft feet after you get the rest of the vaseline off.

Soak them for a while, then use a pumice stone to get rid of the dead skin. Use a thick cream and put on socks and your feet will get soft quickly.

Use Johnson's foot soap, a powder. Put it in warm water and soak your feet. It will soften the rough skin and you can literally rub it off with a towel. It has been around for years!

Exfoliate! They sell exfoliating pads, brushes and other varieties of tools that will accomplish the same thing.
My favorite scrub is the Bath and Body Works shower scrub, but for feet the "True Blue Spa" products like Footloose & Fancy Fizz™ Bubbly Foot Bath and Heel of Approval™ Cracked Heel Treatment work the best. You can find them at http://www.bathandbodyworks.com/sm-true-blue-spa--ci-2083087_cp-2073258.html.

Someone recently recommended the Microplane foot file. I got it and I am very impressed. Although very sturdy, it gently files off all that yucky, hard stuff off of anyone's feet. I like the orb style file. See http://us.microplane.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWCATS&Category=25
Microplane is the company that also makes the graters that are very popular for cooking.
