Just smile and nod in a "alright then" sense, and walk away. Don't make a big deal out of being rejected. Many people have been rejected many times before they found their romantic someone.

It depends on how good or bad she lets you off. If she lets you down easy then just say something like, "Thanks anyway". If she was ugly or a ***** towards you, then tell her that it was her loss and she should be happy a nice guy like me was interested in her in the first place and move on.
