We all know it's more fun to watch any sport with your family and friends, especially when you rooting for one person or team, and your family and friends are rooting for an opposing person or team.
What I want to know is if you have a household with two or more NASCAR fans, tell me who your favorite driver is and who your family members favorite driver is.
Bonus: Tell me how different opinions on drivers make it fun to watch the races in your household together.
Me: Jeff Burton fan (RCR)
Boyfriend: Jeff Gordon fan (Hendrick)
Daughter: Tony Stewart fan (Gibbs)
As you can see, my household has very different opinions on drivers and it truly makes the race more fun to watch with one another.

I like Carl Edwards. My dad liked Dale Earnhardt Sr, but he does not cheer for any other drivers. My mom likes Tony Stewart and Dale Jr. My little brother likes Greg Biffle. And my grandma doesn't like NASCAR.
My dad hates Jeff Gordon, but I cheer for Jeff. So when I cheer for him, my dad boos him.

As you can see, I am the lone ranger in the house. My hubby and kids are all fans of the Hendrick guys. I fully support Dale Jr.. I don't care if HMS is getting all the wins. Race day is always interesting. Hope the neighbors don't hear us, haha. In football and baseball we are all united so the different favorites in NASCAR does make it kinda fun. I just get frustrated with my husband cause if anyone does anything to a HMS guy, he yells and screams at the tv but if a HMS guy does something to another driver, well, he uses every excuse in the book. Drives me nuts!
The only thing we all agree on is we all loved SR and that will never change. We all alson cannot stand Montoya.
We have such passion for this sport. We made a yard display last month. We have three flag poles. On one pole is #3 and #8, the American flag is on the second pole and the third pole has the #24 and #48. We have Nascar stones below with our drivers numbers surrounded with plants. It is really nice.
Its a fun sport!!! The rivalries make it even better!

My Mom roots for- Tony Stewart and Mark Martin so thats a Gibbs and Ginn racing.
My Dad roots for- Jeff Burton and Greg Biffle- RCR and Rousch
My Brother roots for- Dale Jarrett and Jimmie Johnson- Waltrip and Hendricks
and I root for- Bobby Labonte and Jamie McMurray.- Petty and Rousch. So you can imagine our house gets pretty heated at a lot of the racing events and its really fun, but sometimes my family can get out of hand if one of our other family members driver caused a wreck which their driver was in. But we are all happy when any of our drivers win.

The wife and I also pull for Stewart(she does only because we went to a Busch race and he was the only driver she really knew) I actually named a kitten Smoke.
We all can't stand Johnson(have a pic of the 48 car on a dartboard and even the kid throws darts at it)
We all pull for Truex, we're from the same county in NJ(in my case same high school). But yeah the Jr/Gordon thing is kinda fun in this house. We're always bickering back and forth.
BTW this also applies to football, I'm a Giants fan they're Jets fans.

Hubby doesn't watch NASCAR, but when I'm together with other parts of my family:
Me: Tony Stewart
Oldest brother: Jeff Gordon (because he's a California guy)
Mom: Jimmie Johnson (because she knew I liked Smoke and picked JJ just to be contrary)
Which makes for some interesting races. =)

it makes it fun cuz me and my mom both dont like matt and my dad always argues that hes so much better than jeff then my mom is like yeah but jeff has better statistics and so they argue alot. then when we are all screaming at the tv during a race my brother comes out of his room and tells us to shut up then starts watching the race and pertends to be a tony stewart fan(we all hate tony stewart) and annoys us all. then we all get into arguments about whos driver is btr. but then when one of our drivers wrecks, we can always help cheer with someone else in the familys driver. btw, great question!

In my home there are 3 of us and we all like different drivers, also.
Me: Jeff Gordon
Husband: David Gilliland (RYR in general!)
6yr. old son: Jimmie Johnson
This does make race days and nights very interesting around here. Neither my husband or son like Jeff Gordon at all! My son gets very upset win he wins and laughs when something happens to him during the race. No big deal to me, I'm use to it! The one great thing is our LOVE for Nascar! We have a saying around here "The family that races together, Stays together." We have had alot of fun together going to races and watching together. Racing in general definitely brings us closer as a family.

Wife - Dale Jr (This was 1 of the reasons I married her, the other is because she can flat out cook some chicken)
Daughter - Kasey Kahne (she says he's cute, I say, your 11, dont be saying things like that)
Son - Of all freaking people, Kyle Busch. (he is a big Terry Labonte fan)
My Dog Lucy is a Jeff Gordon fan, if she keep bragging about Jeff winning, I'm gonna put her outside.
